Superman

Beer Score: 1

Genre: Action

Description: Superman must reconcile his alien Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing as reporter Clark Kent. As the embodiment of truth, justice and the human way he soon finds himself in a world that views these as old-fashioned.

Reviewer: Quinn

This movie is fantastic, and I believe it will help reshape the new superhero genre. This movie just felt like it was hope farming, and I couldn’t help smiling the whole way through. Adding new characters and new renditions of well-known characters made this movie feel so refreshing and fun. Also, the VFX were absolutely stunning, they were done in a way that didn’t feel absurd, which led to a lot of charm. For example, how many of you knew that Krypo was entirely CG?

Review Scale Below

On this scale, fewer beers means a better movie. If a film keeps you so engaged that you don’t need a drink, it scores low. The more beers it takes to get through, the worse the movie was.

  • 1 Beer: Great — only one beer for fun, not survival.

  • 2 Beers: Decent — had a few slow parts, but still enjoyable.

  • 3 Beers: Meh — starting to need drinks to stay entertained.

  • 4 Beers: Rough — alcohol improves it more than the plot does.

  • 5 Beers: Terrible — only bearable if you’re too buzzed to care.
